National and international representatives of animation, cinema, television, publicity, art and media integrate each year Expotoons´ official jury in order to select and award the best animation screenings of the Festival.

Agrelo Facundo

Argentina

General Coordinator of Pakapaka, having participated in this kids TV channel creation. Professor at the School of Cinema in UBA. Facundo has created EPAI, Espacio de Produccion Audiovisual Infantil, for production and study of tv and cinema for kids. His production includes cinema and tv scripts and literary publications, amongst others.

Castillo René

Calavera Films, Mexico

René Castillo was born in México city and studied Communication at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) in Guadalajara Jalisco. In 1992 he discovers animation and from then onwards learns by himself. His short films “Sin Sostén” (1998) and “Hasta los huesos” (2001) were awarded more than 50 times at Cinema and Animation festivals all over the world.

René is director of Calavera Films and directs, co-writes and co-produces his first animated feature film “Thingdom”.

Argentina

Director of Caracoles Producciones, where he develops contents in web, magazines, animations and other formats. Fabian is a professional drawer and has worked as animator and illustrator in many films such as “Manuelita”, “Pan triste”, “Calculin”, “Patoruzito 2”, “Isidoro”, “Valentina”, “Boogie”, “La Maga de Oz” and many others. He has designed many characters and generated content for kids.

Feller Eduardo

Argentina

He has worked in the film industry as director and video consultant for electronic image in Argentina and internationally for many well known companies.

He has directed many documentaries, institutional and educative films. Eduardo is professor at Graphic Design School at UBA. He has participated of many conferences and has many publications about audiovisual design as a cultural industry.

Malowicki Alejandro

Argentina

He has a degree in cinematographic arts, in La Plata University, Argentina. He has directed and produced many fiction feature films such as: PINOCHO”; “PYME”; “LAS AVENTURAS DE NAHUEL” and documentaries: SERIE 8X25 “FLORA Y FAUNA EN EXTINCION”; SERIE 8X25 “CON UNA MANO EN EL CORAZÓN” amongst others.

Founder of Cinema and TV workshops for kids in Escuela Internacional de Cine de San Antonio de Los Baños, Cuba. He gives workshops at Escuela de cine of Universidad de Guadalajara, at the Education Ministry in Peru and CNAC in Venezuela and in many other Latin American and Caribbean countries.

He has participated as Jury for EMMY prizes for TV for kids.

Massenio Miguel

Argentina

Estudió en la Universidad del Cine, es montajista y profesor. Tiene una productora "T.huelche films" en la cual desarrolla distintos tipos de trabajos en el área de montaje y postproducción.

Se desempeña en el Instituto Da Vinci como docente y coordina la carrera Cine de Animación desde el 2013. En la Universidad del Cine es Jefe del Dpto. de Postproducción y Profesor Adjunto de la materia Montaje I, en la UNLP es Profesor Adjunto de las materias Montaje I y Montaje II, establecimiento en donde ha ejercido a su vez el rol de Jurado de Tesis en distintas oportunidades. Docente en la UCA desde el año 2013 en la carrera de Comunicación Social como en la Maestría. Recientemente da clase en la UNSAM dentro de la carrera de Cine Documental.

Esta año fue jurado del REC (Festival de Cine organizado por la UNLP)

Mignona Sebastian

Argentina

Sebastian Mignona initiated his career in camera, photography and assembly working in films such as Memorias del Saqueo, Las Palmas Chaco, amongst many others.

Since 2004 Sebastian is general manager at El Perro en la Luna, Audiovisual Producer specialized in educative television, developing his knowledge about documentary cinema and commercials.

He has worked in many projects for Canal Encuentro and Public TV. Some of them being, Bajo Pueblo, Años Decisivos, Historia de las Clases Populares, XIX, La Asombrosa Excursión de Zamba y El Asomboso Mundo de Zamba, amongst several others.

Sebastian has worked in many short films for companies such as Coca-Cola, Página 12, Diario El país (Spain), Schneider, American Express, Milka, Villa del Sur, Villavicencio, Yogurisimo, Actimel and Ser, amongst many others.

In 2009 he produced the documentary film from Alejandro Fernandéz Moujan “Los Resistentes” and in 2011 the short film “El Mar”, from Cecilia Atán, participating in the official competition at Mar del Plata and Biarritz Festivals. “El Mar” also participated in the Short Film Market in Cannes. Sebastian worked in the executive production and artistic direction of the Show of the Asombrosa Excursion de Zamba, the thematic Park of Zamba in Tecnopolis and the Asombroso musical de Zamba y San Martin in Tecnopolis. For the miniseries Vientos de Agua directed by Jose Campanella, Sebastian Pivotto, Bruno Stagnaro and Paula Hernandez, he worked in the design and composition of the opening. Sebastian worked in the institutional spots of Nosotros y Antartida 2010 for Public TV in Argentina. And for Urban Press he produced the Sedal Mag TV series.

At El Perro en la Luna Sebastian coordinates and directs software development and social platforms related projects, prepares new shows for Zamba and the documentary Madres de Plaza de Mayo for TV channel Encuentro.

Mistrorigo Kiko

Brasil

TV PinGuim is a Brazilian animation producer oriented to the self production of materials, especially for children in 2D and 3D.

Kiko Mistrorigo is director and co founder of TV PinGuim as well as architect, designer, creativity director, animator and special effects creator. Together with Celia Catunda he founded in 1989 the producer of content TV PinGuim. He has written, produced and directed more than 400 hours of animation for Cinema and Television. Amongst his projects are: Peztronauta (Discovery Kids, distributed in Latin America and more than 80 countries), Gemini8 (Disney Channel and Disney Jr) and coming this October, El Mundo de Luna.

Montgomery Conrad

USA

Conrad Montgomery is director of comedy animation for Cartoon Network. In this role, Montgomery is responsible for supervising the pop culture phenomenon Adventure Time, the Emmy® Award-winning Regular Show and Cartoon Network’s latest hit original animated series, Uncle Grandpa, all of which are produced at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, CA.

Prior to joining Cartoon Network, Montgomery was a development and current series executive at Walt Disney Television where he worked on Fish Hooks, Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil and Motor City. Earlier in his career, he was a creative executive at Lions Gate Films where he worked on such films as Confidence and Monster's Ball.

Montgomery graduated from California State University, Northridge with a bachelor of arts degree in Cinema and Television Arts.

NANNI SILVIA

Argentina

Silvia Nanni is considered to be one of the first women animators of Argentina. Self taught drawer Silvia has participated of the team of the TV show “El Mundo de Mafalda”, initiating her career in Animation. She continued her career in animation producing TV shows for USA and Europe. She has worked with some of the most important producers of Argentina, making feature films, TV shows and commercials. At Nannimacion she has produced a short film for the Book Festival in Paris. She is currently working on a trial feature film for Sweden. She has participated as jury at Carton Festival 2014. Apart from being animator and illustrator Silvia also dedicates to plastic art, having received the first award at painting by SAAP.

Otero Rodolfo

Argentina

Rodolfo Otero is a lawyer who has abandoned his profession to dedicate to his passions, literature, cinema and teaching. He has studied educative technology and instructive design.

He has published the novels Milla Lonco (Robin Hood Award 1983), La Travesia (Accesit to Lazarillo Award 1983), El verano del Potro, El Secreto del Torreón Negro, Una de Dos, Un Viaje Muy Espacial, El Camino de Santa Fe, La Estrella Peregrina, which was translated to italian and included in the list “White Ravens” of the best international children´s books of 1999, El Secreto de los Elefantes, Los Paleolocos, El Signo del Sol 1ª parte: la Princesa Dormida and El Signo del Sol 2ª part: El Señor de las Sombras. His Story El Color que Faltaba is mentioned in the book Piolín de Barrilete.

Rodolfo has also written short film and cartoon strips scripts and is co author with Rosanna Manfredi of the script “Todo Toons” documentary cycle about animation in Argentina. He has won two script competitions with the original versions of La Travesia and El Verano del Potro, which were in the Movies with Hector Alterio and China Zorrilla. Rodolfo has directed shortfilms and educative videos and organized movie groups in many elementary and high schools. He has participated as Jury in many International Cinema Festivals for children.

Rodolfo is currently responsible for the Script School at Universidad del Cine and Universidad de Belgrano, animation cinema history at Universidad del Cine and Escuela Profesional de Cinematografia Eliseo Subiela and gives a course of Cinema History at Colegio Nacional Buenos Aires.

PUMAR ROBERTO DANIEL

Argentina

Fundó su propia empresa LEADER MUSIC, una Compañía Discográfica, en el año 1983. A través de 31 años grabó más de 12.000 fonogramas propios. Fue el principal desarrollador del movimiento tropical en Argentina, con éxitos como: Gilda, Antonio Ríos, Ráfaga, Riki Maravilla y cientos más.

En 2005 comienza a desarrollar el concepto de videoclips animados de las canciones infantiles más conocidas. De este modo, avanzó en la realización de los productos: Canciones de María Elena Walsh 1 y 2, Canciones de la Granja 1 y 2, Canciones del Zoo 1 y Rondas y Canciones Infantiles 1 y 2 y otras producciones más. A su vez, distribuyó en formato DVD conocidas animaciones como “Las aventuras de Hijitus”, “Heidi”, “Transformers”, “Naruto”, etc.

Sus canales infantiles de YouTube, donde son publicadas estas producciones, crecen día a día. Entre ellos, el Reino Infantil, posee más de 550 millones de vistas en sólo 3 años, la mitad de las mismas pertenecen al año en curso. Sus suscriptores supera el medio millón de personas y sigue creciendo y ampliando su mercado a nuevos países.

Hoy la empresa bajo su nueva denominación, LEADER ENTERTAINMENT, se ha ampliado a todo el negocio del entretenimiento con particular interés en las animaciones infantiles.

Raspo Eduardo

Director del canal INCAA TV, Argentina

Eduardo Raspo es Director del canal INCAA TV desde su creación en el 2009 y tiene una vasta trayectoria como Director y Productor de cine y televisión.

En su recorrido como como realizador Cinematográfico, ha dirigido películas como Geisha (Coproducción Argentino-Española. Guión ganador del Concurso de Operas Primas año 1994. Premio otorgado por el Instituto Nacional de Cinematografía y Artes Audiovisuales), Tatuado (Ganadora de los Premios: Mejor Guión Festival de Montreal, Mejor Película Festival de Biarritz, Mejor Película y Director Festival de Trieste, Cóndor de Plata Actor Revelación, Mejor Actor Festival de Viña del Mar, Mejor Director Festival de Tandil, Premio Clarín Actor Secundario, Mejor Película Festival de Austín, EE UU).

En el campo de la televisión ha participado de la producción y dirección de programas como Juana y sus hermanas (Juana Molina, Telefe), Atreverse (Telefé, ganadora de los Premios: Onda 1990 otorgado por la Radio y Televisión Española, Premios Martín Fierro 1990: Mejor Programa, Director, Actor, Actriz, Autor, Tema Musical, Premio Coral Festival de Cine y Televisión de La Habana, Premios Martín Fierro 1991: Mejor Programa, Director, Actor, Actriz), entre otras producciones.

En el campo académico ha sido Docente de Guión y Realización de la UNSAM, Universidad Nacional de San Martín (Argentina) y Docente de dirección EICTV, Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba).

Rojas Tellez Alejandro

Chile

Alejandro has a Degree in Art from Universidad Catolica in Chile, another degree in Design at Universidad Mayor in Chile and is creator and director of the Digital Animation Degree at Universidad Mayor.

He has dedicated to the artistic and productive development of Animation in Chile, and is the director of Cinemanimadores. He has directed three animated feature films and has worked on the animation for feature films in Mexico, Argentina and Spain. Alejandro has worked in more than 500 animated commercial spots, several TV shows for Chile, Europe, Argentina and the USA.

He was received 9 national and international awards, as a director (for Altazor, Apes, Círculo de críticos de arte), and 5 International awards (Argentina, Mexico and Colombia).

Romero Liliana

Argentina

Es Directora Artística General de TomaVirtual.

Licenciada en artes plásticas, recibida en la facultad de La Plata, Argentina (1992). Actualmente dirige el largometraje animado ANIDA Y EL CIRCO FLOTANTE, que participo en el Festival de cine de Málaga. 2014. Dirigió junto a Norman Ruíz, el cortometraje de animación EL SUEÑO DE RAMONA MONTIEL, inspirados en los monstruos del artista argentino Antonio Berni, que tuvo tres premios internacionales y EL INMIGRANTE, sobre obras de Quinquela Martin, LA CARTA , sobre obras de Candido Lopez. El largometraje ficción-animación EL COLOR DE LOS SENTIDOS. MARTIN FIERRO, la película, íntegramente realizada en animación 2D. CUENTOS DE LA SELVA, la película, realizada en animación 3D. Dirigió el corto de animación (2d-3d) UN DESEO MUY PARTICULAR. Todos sus trabajos participaron de Festivales internacionales.
